Resident Assistance Fund

This fund permits donors to give cash or planned gifts toward projects or items that benefit all or a significant portion of Quaker Heights residents (for example, a vehicle for taking residents on outings) as well as to provide funds that allow Quaker Heights to assist needy residents.

Other Ways of Assisting Residents

Sometimes, charitable organizations and individuals will ask if they may give items for residents who do not have the means to purchase them. Because of federal privacy regulations, we cannot permit those who are not residents’ guardians or approved family and friends to know a particular resident’s needs or give these gifts directly to a resident.

We can provide a list of items donors may purchase and give to Quaker Heights to distribute as needed. We cannot take used personal items. These donations must be coordinated through the Quaker Heights Development Office. We can provide those who purchase these approved items with a receipt for her/his tax records acknowledging the gift value if furnished with appropriate proof of purchase. The IRS recognizes these donations as “in-kind” because the giver is providing an item of value not an outright cash gift.
