      History of Quaker Heights Foundation, Inc.  

At the Annual Meeting of 4-19-97 the members of Friends Home, Inc. approved the creation of Quaker Heights Foundation, Inc. They approved its mission statement as well as by-laws and appointed six trustees. This action was the culmination of a plan to restructure Friends Home, Inc. so that the management of its endowment would be separate from that of its operations and facilities. Friends Home, Inc. approved the transfer of all funds in the endowment and assistance funds to the Friends Home Foundation.

The Foundation was established to fulfill the purposes in the articles of incorporation in 1997 and as amended. The specific purpose is to provide financial support and perform fundraising functions for the benefit of the programs and operations of Friends Home, Inc.

Since its inception, Quaker Heights Foundation has issued three grants to support the mission of Friends Home, Inc.
